Joy Forever is the new fragrance that honors couturier Jean Patou’s original legendary scent—Joy—which he created in 1929, when the stock market crash affected his wealthy American clients who could no longer afford his fashion designs. He developed Joy to lift their spirits, and spared no expense in doing so, incorporating Damascene Rose and Jasmine de Grasse for the ultimate in opulence. Joy became known as the costliest fragrance in the world.

Today, Joy remains a symbol of quality and luxury. Now, the launch of Joy Forever ($110-$190), a new, modern perfume, features the original notes, but with a modern twist.

The iconic JOY bottle was crafted by Patou’s friend, architect and interior designer Louis Süe, who created a flacon cut like a precious gemstone. Joy Forever is housed in the same timeless elegant bottle with a rose gold cap to reflect the antique rose gold glow of the luxurious and classic box. A golden cord wraps around the collar.
